Biography
Habib Beye is a defender for Senegal and Aston Villa in the English Premier League. Beye was signed by Newcastle for a ‘bargain price’ according to coach Sam Allardyce (£2m) and this soon proved to be the case as he went on to become the Fans’ Player of the Year. Beye is an intelligent right-back who knows when to venture forwards, and when he should stay back. He has the pace to chase down the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, as well as the timing in his tackles to win the ball.
His consistency and tenacity, even in Newcastle's ill-fated relegation season, won him the admiration of the fans adn media alike, and it was no surprise when he moved to a top Premier League club in August 2009.
