Biography
Chris Wood was the 2009 European Tour 'Rookie of the Year' after some spectacular performances in his debut season. He was close to his first Major at the British Open, with his putting on the 18th hole in the final round costing him the Championship, though he was more than happy with his third-place finish. He had been tipped to make a big impact after finishing as the top-placed amateur in the British Open in 2008, in fifth position.
